How to change software \ program name in "open with" option

Many people get confused or does not remember what that program does For eg Winrar name of program does not specify its functionality it became more important when we have two or more options

so here is better way

Step 1

open start menu type run in search bar

now type regedit

it will open registry editor
[Note:- be careful while changing any other entry in registry editor as registry is consider to be an d.n.a. of windows operating system any change here will change the functionality of operating system]

Step 2

For vista and Windows 7

follow path

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Classes > Local
Settings > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Shell > MuiCache

For windows 2000 (NT),XP

follow path

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > ShellNoRoam > MUICache

Now you can see the list full of program names

Step 3

look at right column for program name to be changed here am going to change "FireFox" to "FireFox(best)"
to do so double click on entry on left side
and in value data box write name of your choice here i am going to right FireFox(best)

done

now when you open "open with" you will see your customize name
